This photo was taken today in Alacant (Valencian Country) by the city’s university’s climatology department. But many other places in the Iberian peninsula looked like this today.

This is caused by a wave of sand that comes from the Sahara desert, and which was brought by the wind.
Meteorologists predict that the wind can carry the Saharan sand further north to other parts of Europe.
